BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTING:  For an older dog, or Special needs, many times they will need a home with no small children.  Generally they tend to do really well with teenage children, but not small children who require a lot of interaction with a pet.   Although some breeds such as Shih Tzu generally when older, still do very well even with small children.   Retired or Seniors are Wonderful parents for these little ones, and the bonding and compaionships develop rapidly with much love and joy for both.  

These older and special needs dogs are for indoor family pets, and not to be left out in the yard in a dog house, or in the unheated or uncooled garage etc.  So PLEASE, know that you want a little one to Love and be your Companion.

Yep, Robert is a Playful Nut, and all the Dogs just Love him for it!   This is Fanny Mae and she is 5 years old.  Fanny was raised in home and is House Trained and a WONDERFUL little girl.  There is Nothing negative we can say about her.  She is in great Health, although a bit Chunky. Has all her shots, de-wormings, Comfortus, etc. needed to date.  She Loves her baths and groomings.  Fanny has a very mild mannered personality, and is PERFECT for a Retired, or Senior Home to be a Companion Pet.  She loves to go in the car, and travels great with no need for a carrier.  She will sit right with you nicely driving, or at home cuddled up to watch tv, or just by your side.  Fanny still plays and dances, but is not the least bit hyper or wild, and she behaves perfectly.  She is not a licker, although willgive kisses if asked.  ONE BIG IMPORTANT THING "YOU NEED A COMPLETELY FENCED YARD" IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT FANNY MAE.  She will wander off, and that is a MAJOR MUST.  If you have front and back doors, then you need both outside areas to be fenced.  DO NOT apply for her if you area is Not Secure.  We do Not want her getting lost and hurt.   Fanny eats her own food very well, although she does love People treats too on occassion.  She is Not Spayed, because she is a bit overweight, and spaying tends to make dogs gain more weight.  NO BREEDERS, she is for a Loving Indoor Pet ONLY.  WHY is she being offered for adoption?  Because she needs a home where she will be the Sole Pet, and not have to compete with all the little young teeny booper dogs jumping all over her, and having to wait for attention.  Fanny deserves to have her lifetime with lots of Special love and attention just for her.  Although she is very friendly and gets along with other small dogs well, but she has never been around cats, so we do not know how she would react towards them.  See lots of pictures of her below.  Her coat is Full and drags the floor when in completely, although we keep it trimmed up some, and she does look adorable in the shorter Puppy Cut too.  Her coat is silky and easy to brush through, and she barely ever sheds.  If interested in adopting Fanny Mae, she would be Free to the right home, although shipping costs will be $300.00 for her Flight, Taxes, Airport Fees, USDA Flight Certificate, and Large New Carrier.  Serious Inquiries ONLY Please.  tpekes4u@aol.com
